Perm Days in Minsk: Business Program, Cultural Events, and Gastronomic Diversity

Perm Days are taking place in Minsk on September 29 and 30. A delegation from Perm, led by Perm Mayor Eduard Sosnin, is on an official visit to Minsk. On the first day, the delegation visited the Minsk City Palace of Culture and the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics.

A Perm Book Corner opened at the Yanka Kupala Central Library. This was made possible by an agreement signed between the cities' libraries in April 2025. Throughout 2024, and since the agreement was signed, a number of joint events have been held between the Perm and Minsk libraries. One such project was the youth initiative "Literary Heroes of the Streets," during which young Perm residents recited poems by Belarusian writers Yakub Kolas and Yanka Kupala on Perm's Yakub Kolas Street, while young Minsk residents recited poems by Alexander Pushkin, Nikolai Nekrasov, and Mikhail Lermontov on streets named after great Russian poets.

As part of the business portion of the event, a roundtable discussion on youth policy was held at the Youth House. The parties discussed the development of youth cooperation and shared their experiences in organizing city events.

"In the first eight months of this year, we organized and held 28 events, attended by over 289,000 people. We discussed successful projects in detail. Our Belarusian colleagues, for example, spoke about their interesting project, "Minsk Shift." We found many similarities in our approaches, particularly in working with working youth and developing student brigades." "For us, as the Youth Capital of Russia, this exchange is especially valuable," Eduard Sosnin noted on his Telegram channel.

In addition, a rich cultural and entertainment program will be held in Minsk as part of Perm Days. Over the course of two days, the Stolitsa shopping center (3/2 Nezavisimosti Avenue), one of Minsk's central locations, will host a master class led by Perm chefs, who will prepare dishes from Perm cuisine. A fair featuring exclusive products from Perm producers will also be held there. The fair will feature healing cosmetics, accessories, decorative items, souvenirs, and unique Cherdyn honey. In the shopping center's atrium, artists from PermConcert will present a large concert program, "Where My Soul Lives." It will include traditional songs and dances from the peoples of the Perm region, as well as Russian folk music and songs about Perm.

On September 29th, at the Minsk City Palace of Culture, and on September 30th, at the House of Moscow in Minsk, Perm artists will present a special 90-minute musical program. The folk music and dance ensemble "Yarmarka" will showcase the national flavor of Perm and Russia, the ensembles "Voskresenie" and "Ivany" will perform songs by contemporary composers and Russian folk songs, and balalaika player Andrey Kiryakov will play the internationally popular "Kalinka" and "Valenki" on the Russian national instrument.

On September 30th, young football players from Perm and Minsk will play a friendly match at Traktor Stadium. A concert at Dinamo Stadium will provide a vibrant finale to the Days of Perm. The concert program will begin at 6:00 PM on September 30th, featuring DJ Smash.
